Staff

We have a diverse team of staff who have a wide range of experience, expertise and qualifications, and who are passionate about working to improve the lives of children and families. We value all members of our team as they contribute to the smooth running and success of our centre. We have a commitment to developing the employment and training of local people which is reflected by our use of modern apprentices where appropriate. We invest in our team by providing high quality and continuing professional development opportunities through whole team staff training days and off site attendance at training events.

The Senior Leadership Team and managers hold a range of appropriate degrees in relevant areas such as Early Childhood Studies. We staff our rooms with a higher than normal level of NVQ Level 3 staff, with many holding Level 6 and above.

Trustees

BHCC is run by a voluntary group of Trustees. Trustees are recruited from past and present  parents complimented by Health Visitors and other local professionals. The Trustees are responsible for maintaining the vision of the charity as well as setting the strategic direction on an annual basis. Trustees will sign off all new policies. Trustees meet on a monthly basis, holding an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to which all parents and carers are invited.
