Staff

Our diverse team of staff have a wide range of experience, expertise and qualifications and are passionate about working to improve the lives of children and families.  We are committed to the employment and training of local people, which is reflected by our use of modern apprentices where appropriate.  We invest in our team by providing high quality and continuing professional development opportunities.

The Senior Leadership Team and managers hold a range of appropriate degrees in relevant areas such as Early Childhood Studies.  We staff our childcare rooms with a higher than normal level of NVQ Level 3 staff, with many holding Level 6 and above.

The Children’s Centre is run by a group of voluntary Trustees.  Trustees are recruited from past and present parents, Health Visitors and local professionals.  The Trustees are responsible for maintaining the vision of the charity as well as setting the strategic direction on an annual basis.  Trustees will sign off all new policies.  Trustees meet on a monthly basis and hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM), to which all parents and carers are invited.
